This project involved the repainting of two 30’ high pressure natural gas pipeline suspension bridges across the Coosa River, which remained fully pressurized and in-use for the duration of the project. The scope included the paint removal, pipe cleaning and repainting of the suspended pipelines and support floor beams. Some portions of the coatings may contain lead. To fully clean and repaint the pipes at the floor beams, the pipes were supported in temporary rigging and the floor beam connections disassembled.
American Bridge completed overall maintenance and access improvements, suspender adjustment and support for structural testing on this pipeline suspension bridge in May of 2011 under AB Order No.: 415410. |
