This design-build project involved the replacement of the existing, historic three-span through-truss over the Monogahela River and CSX railroad tracks connecting the Westmoreland and Washington county towns of Charleroi and Monessen. The connection was made possible with new haunched steel girders. American Bridge unloaded, transported and erected new structural steel and bearings with a barge mounted crane and land based crane for the work over the railroad tracks. Work also included the supply and installation of temporary falsework supports. |
