AB Crews Successfully Erect Last Deck Assembly on Portageville Bridge Replacement Project 150 150 American Bridge

A huge milestone was achieved last week on July 31st at the Portageville Bridge Replacement project when AB crews successfully completed the final closure of the 483′ pinned arch structure. The milestone comes exactly 142 years – to the day – after the existing structure was first opened to rail traffic. AB is now working to complete the steel erection in the approaches, and will form and pour the concrete deck before demolishing the existing structure.
